These step-by-step instructions will show you how easy (and sometimes fun) it is to create a few banners and the idea is rather to show you what can be done so that you can use your own creativeness to create your own banners.
You can download a free trial copy of Ulead Gif Animator at the following link. The trial is for 15 days and thereafter you need to purchase it at $12.99 IF you want. 15 Days is long enough to create some good banners.

Please note that I don’t earn one cent out of it and that Ulead is a very reputable company. You can also use the same program for many other things.
Once installed the program open the program and do the following steps.
* Click on File, select 468x60, then select any color and click ok.
* On the lower menu there is an icon “Add Frame”. Click it twice
There will now be three small frames.
* Click on the first one to select it, then on the big banner and then at top menu on the “copy” icon.
* Click on each small frame added and then on the top menu “paste” icon.
All the three frames should now have the same color (image)
* Click on the first frame to select it and then on the big banner.
* On the left menu select the “T” (text tool) and click on the big banner.
A box will open where you can type any text you want and then click OK.
* Click on each small frame and add text the same way as above
* Double click on each small frame and set the delay time to 200 (2 seconds)
Click on the preview menu.
Save the image (automatic as UGA file that can be edited again) AND also save-as .gif file for publishing online.
You can now play around to format and design the banner just as you want with for example the following.
Select the point (Pick tool) icon at left menu and click on banner. Then click on the “Add image” icon at top menu. Then select any image on your computer what you want.
You can make this added image transparent by increasing the transparent number to for example 25 by right click on image and select properties.
You can resize this image by, on the same menu, select Position and Size and change the values.
You can also remove part of the added image that you don’t want by selecting the eraser tool and erase (make transparent) that part you don’t want.
If you need any further help please contact me but I suggest you play around with the program to see what can be done. It’s really a nice experience to blend and integrate several images into such banner and see the results.
